There is no other place quite like Cal State Long Beach. The campus has an atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome and at home, even if it’s your first day on campus. I have never felt so welcomed by a school before starting here, and the community of students is amazing! You will find friends everywhere you go, whether its in class or just walking around campus. It’s easy to find people who share similar interests as you do because there are many clubs on campus where you can get involved with. There are also plenty of places to eat around campus, including Starbucks located inside the library! With so much going for CSULB, what is it like attending this university? Amazingly perfect!
Cal State Long Beach is a great school that offers many different programs to students who are interested in learning more about their career choice. I am currently enrolled as a student at Cal State Long Beach and have been able to learn so much about my major and the surrounding areas. The campus provides many recreational activities for students, such as basketball games and sporting events, which allows our community to come together.

I was born and raised in Long Beach, California. I grew up attending the public schools of Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) and then went on to attend Cal State University at Long Beach (CSULB). For those who don’t know, CSULB is a large university with over 30,000 students; it’s one of the largest universities in all of California. While my experiences as an undergraduate student were not perfect by any means, I do believe that they were some of the best years of my life.
I graduated from high school with a 4.0 GPA and received several honors such as National Merit Finalist and AP Scholar; however attending college wasn’t always what I had dreamed it would be like.
Cal State Long Beach is a public university located in California. It has been recognized as one of the best universities to attend by multiple sources, including U.S. News and World Report and The Princeton Review. I have attended CSULB for two years now, so let me tell you what it’s like!
